A painting done quite some time ago, reflecting those misty changes of light of late Autumn. The name Mullaghmeen comes from the Irish Mullach Mín, meaning a smooth summit, and is the highest point in Westmeath, on which an ancient cairn sits, in line of site to the sister cairns of Loughcrew. Unfortunately, storm Eowyn in Jan 25 devastated this wonderful forest of mainly beech trees.
