Murals are an aspect of my work that is both challenging but ultimately very satisfying. In a sense they can be divided into two categories: Private and corporate/public.
In general, most of the private work involves enhancing a child’s room, incorporating images of a fantasy nature or on a theme that creates a friendly, magical environment. They are invariably indoors, which makes the surface easy to work on and the spaces, although large, are easy to manage.
Corporate/public work is so varied, from 3 storeys on the gable of a Pub wall, to an entrance wall to a playing field to advertising furniture! In general, the aim is to create a place that tells a story and creates an atmosphere.
Mostly, I work in acrylics but also spray painting and coat to give a weather durable finish.
